    A locally recognized facilitator and health care provider is offering free assistance with tobacco addiction. He has one of the best success rates in the country at 30 – 35% as compared to the nationwide average of about 5%.Meetings are every Wed. evening, 6:30 pm for beginners, and 7 pm for repeat clients at the Peoples Place Community Center, 73 City Hall Ave. across from the fire station. Join the “Quitters Win” program today!

  2. EPA Cleanup Grant Application-Public Hearing

    November 13, 2019, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Mayor's Conference Room

    The Gardner Redevelopment Authority will host a Public Hearing in relation to the DRAFT Analysis Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives – Preliminary Evaluation for the 140 South Main Street Site, 140 South Main Street, Gardner, MA 01440 (MassDEP. Release Tracking Number: 2-20279 & 2-18421). The Public Hearing will be a forum to present notice of the owner’s intention to file an application for an EPA Cleanup Grant to aid in remediation of the property, to present the DRAFT Analysis Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives, and to solicit input and feedback from the community. Draft documents including the application and Analysis Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives are available for viewing in the Economic Development Office, in Room 202, City Hall Annex, 115 Pleasant Street, Gardner, MA 01440.   5. 2019 Regional Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day

    November 16, 2019, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Gardner Transfer Station

    REGISTRATION NO LONGER REQUIRED, Registration is no longer required, however proof of residency (State issued ID) will be necessary at the site. Vehicles will be taken in turn, beginning at 9 a.m. Fifty gallons of material maximum per vehicle however only 5 gallons of gasoline per vehicle. To transport your materials safely: Leave materials in original containers. DO NOT mix chemicals. Use sturdy boxes, not bags, to pack your material. DO NOT smoke near the material.
