  6. Voter Registration Session - CANCELLED

    The Board of Registrars of Voters will conduct a voter registration session on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the City Clerk’s Office, Room 121, City Hall, to enroll new voters for the May 5, 2020 Special Municipal Election. This is the last day to register in order to be eligible to vote in this Election. Every citizen who will be 18 years of age or older on or before May 5, 2020 and is a resident in the City and has not previously registered, may register at the above session. Any person recently married who is a registered voter should re-register under their married name. Citizens may also register daily at the City Clerk’s Office from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday or by utilizing the Mail-in Official Voter Registration Form or registering online at the Secretary of State’s website at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/ until the final date for registration.

  10. ACCU-VOTE COMPUTER BALLOTING PROGRAM TEST - CANCELLED

    In accordance with the provisions of 950 CMR §54.02, the City Clerk will conduct a test of the City’s Accu-Vote computer balloting program on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 beginning at 8:00 A.M. in the City Council Chamber, Room 219, City Hall. The testing is open to the public. The test shall incorporate a “test deck” of optical scanner ballots for the May 5, 2020 Special Municipal Election, marked in such a way as to adequately test the computer program; demonstrate rejection of overvoted ballots; and test any other contents of the program which may have a bearing upon the accuracy of the count.
