Welcome back Gardner Academy families,
I hope you all had a wonderful and safe summer vacation. We are very excited to begin the 2021-2022 school year and especially being in person. I want to thank all of you for working with us to meet the challenges that we faced. As you know, we will return requiring students be fully masked. You can view the district policy and CDC guidelines on our district website.
As you know we are committed to the success of your student. Here at the academy we hold on to the idea that we fit the school to the needs of your child’s needs. One way to accomplish this is to provide stability in their day and their learning environment. We have posted our bell schedule and bus schedules on this website so you can have access to it. This year there is a class that we added after lunch to manage several needs of our students. This means that the school release will be at 1:20.
Our commitment to the instruction of your student and the growth of your child as a learner and a person is something that we take very seriously. We pride ourselves on connecting with them on a personal level to ensure their confidence in themselves. Our goals this year are to implement a standard MTSS system in the district to meet all of the needs of our learners. We are also focusing on the use of dual enrollment and Innovations/Pathways programs with MWCC and GHS.
Finally, we look forward to a new year and a new chance for the success of your child. We cherish every day that we have to make your student successful both academically and in life. We also look forward towards working with you for your child’s future.
Respectfully,
Principal McMorrow
