Welcome back, Gardner Academy families,
I hope you all had a wonderful and safe summer vacation. We are very excited to begin the 2023-2024. As you know, we are committed to the success of your student. Here at Gardner Academy, we pride ourselves on the idea that we fit the school to the needs of your child. We provide stability in their day and their learning environment. We recognize that the traditional model for education may not have been the best fit for your child, and use our model of small classroom sizes, project-based design, standards and competency-based assessment, and building a solid rapport with you and your student to gear them for success.
Our commitment to the instruction of your student and the growth of your child as a learner and a person is something that we take very seriously. We hold core values of Community, Compassion, Integrity, and Responsibility. Our expectations are for your student to “Be Here”, “Be Ready”, Be Engaged”, and “Be honest”. We develop a purpose for learning in your child and ask them to “Find their Purpose” every day. We seek to show them that all that they know is not all that there is. We offer opportunities with our partners at MWCC, GHS, and the community to create the best fit for them so they can be successful and achieve their dreams. We partner with families for the work ahead, and we seek to strengthen the Gardner Community as a whole. By choosing to come to Gardner Academy, you have already made the first step in your long journey ahead. Congratulations, and can’t wait to see you grow.
Finally, we look forward to a new year and a new chance for the success of your child. We cherish every day that we have to make your student successful both academically and in life. We also look forward to working with you for your child’s future.
Respectfully,
Principal Peter F. McMorrow
