Drought Declaration: Please note the Massachusetts Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs updated the drought declaration for the Millers River watershed, placing Gardner at a Level 3 drought declaration. Under this declaration there are mandatory restrictions for normal use and nonessential outdoor water use. Residents are urged to minimize overall water use and stop all outdoor watering. Under this declaration it is strongly discouraged or prohibited to install new sod, seeding, and/or landscaping; washing of hard surfaces (sidewalks, patios, driveways, siding); personal vehicle or boat washing; operation of non-recirculating fountains; filling of swimming pools, hot tubs, and backyard informal rinks. Please do your part and conserve water whenever possible!
