The Gardner Veteran's Council has voted to hold the Veteran's Day Exercises indoor at the Gardner High School Auditorium due to the usually inclement weather this time of year.
The assembly time is 10 a.m. at the high school. The veterans will march from the outer hall into the mail hall. The exercises will begin promptly at 11 a.m. with the sounding of eleven gongs of the bell, signifying the eleventh hour, the eleventh day, and the eleventh month, when the Armistice was signed, at the end of WWI. This is the 100th anniversary of that historical event.
