Hello Gardner Public School Families,
As the district makes final preparations on Return-to-School Plans, we want your opinion to help guide our decisions. Please take our Return-to-School Parent Survey here.
Basically, we have three models from which to choose to start the school year:
1. FULL RETURN: All students return to school, wearing masks and social distancing by 3 feet;
2. FULL REMOTE: All students participate in a robust remote learning program that includes direct online instruction, following the learning standards set by the state; or
3. HYBRID MODEL: Students will attend classes in school on some days, and participate in remote learning on other days.
No matter which model is chosen, a REMOTE LEARNING program will be available for families who choose to keep their children home during the pandemic. High needs students may, in any model, receive additional services to ensure their success. Finally, the chosen model may not continue for the entire year; we may change the method of instruction based on the city’s changing public health conditions.
Ultimately, the information gathered through this survey will inform our plans and the model we choose to begin the school year. Thank you for your time. Your input is invaluable to us!
Sincerely,
Mark J. Pellegrino, Ed.D.
P.S. If your student is eligible for busing, don’t forget to take our transportation survey here.
